Kelly, I'm offering support and resources. You know my area of focus. You know my personal history. But I have many friends and family members who have successfully completed when you're about to begin. It is challenging. It will feel impossibly long. But it will have a specific end date and then you're done. Done done. And let me know if anyone has started a meal train for you yet. Happy to volunteer
Praying for you and your family. I just walked my mother through her breast cancer surgery this week, if it helps to know how common it is. (A group of her friends who all have had breast cancer took her out for a welcome to the club dinner last week and I was shocked at how many of them had gone down that road). Wishing you strength and healing in the days and weeks ahead.
Oh, Kelly. I’m so thankful that you were so diligent with your annual screening. As a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, I have seen what can happens when women do not! You have made a very difficult but correct decision. Thank God you have Miguel at your side! I’ll be praying for you all along this journey.
I too have been on this journey. I sacrificed my breasts in December. At the end of March I began the reconstruction process. It’s going well. Just today I had more saline added to my tissue expanders. I am starting to feel my “ balance “ coming back. I have had wonderful care and supportive providers. As you mentioned the plans were already written. No time has been wasted.

Thank you so much, Helene. And yes, to specific end dates!
